Not to forget a walk down the old Rajpur village with its fascinating old abandoned structures taking you back a hundred years or more, lined on both sides of the road are Tibetan restaurants and monasteries ,and the friendly villagers all add to the mesmerising ambience till you reach Dakpatti, the village square and hub of all activities. Apart from the small pleasures of staying at Ramalaya, the highs include the interaction with its invironment.
Close to the cottage is the ayurvedic centre that offer very non assuming Kairali massages and steam bath by expert hands; close by is also a yoga center. Mussoorie - the queen of hill stations is 18 kms uphill and Dehradoon city is 12 kms down hill. The holy city of the Haridwar, Rishikesh are 45 mins away.
The cottage is spacious - one large bedroom with one kingsize bed and two single beds. Large drawing cum dinning room with a fireplace. Very well appointed rooms and a well equipped kitchen with all modern facilities.
The kitchen is equipped with an oven, Lpg cooking gas, fridge, food processor, cooking utensils, cutlery and Crockery. Ramalaya lets you bring your own provisions and set your own menu. The close by markets are quite adequate for basic needs and dry rations. The services of a cook and cleaner is also available.
